I don't think you can get more American than these photos. By the way, the shot gun was his new gift that HAD to be a part of his photos. It was really hard for him to keep from grinning with excitement as he held his new gun. I told him you can't smile in a picture when you have a shot gun in your hands. He was finally able to pull it off.

This is my nephew Carter who just left yesterday for his 2 year mission to Bahia Blanca Argentina. What an awesome kid! We are all so proud of him and I'm so thankful to him for the example he is setting for my kids. What a stud!
He's a trooper too, these photo's were taken in 100 degree weather and he was in a full suit, talk about hot!
I have another awesome nephew (Carter's older brother Jake) serving in Mexico City. He gets back in February and we are so excited to see him. Unfortunately Jake and Carter will just miss each other, they will go a total of 3 1/2 years without seeing each other. What a sacrifice!

It was an honor to be able to take the photo's of this beautiful family just a couple months ago. Lanae Peck, the sweet mother and wife, passed away this week of colon cancer. She was only 40 years old. What an amazing woman. So fun, energetic, and full of life, but more importantly she was a wonderful example and was someone that loved and served the Lord. Please pray for this sweet family, they will greatly miss her.

After a long day of crafty bow making, I created this masterpiece. When I put it on Liberty I knew I needed to do a quick photo shoot. She looked like a little flapper. You may notice how I cleverly disguised her cast with a big black feather boa. Pretty smart, huh? She's such a sweetie.

This is a wedding I shot earlier this year and I'm just finally getting around to posting it. I actually shot just the reception of this wedding for another photographer, a friend of mine, Jared Platt. He is a fabulous photographer and he was double booked that day. He needed to be photographing a private dinner for George W. Bush that same night. (Mr. Fancy Pants) So I gladly agreed to take the gig. This is Malorie and Brandon. Aren't they adorable! They were so easy going and totally up for anything. I made them climb through bushes and trek through the desert for some of these shots. Thanks for the effort guys, I think they turned out great.

I have to say...I think photographing babies is my favorite. There is something so sweet and rewarding about capturing and freezing those precious little moments with a new little baby. Maybe it's because I'm a mother of 3 and I know how a little baby just melts your heart and I understand how that time when they are small is over in the blink of an eye. It is so important to capture those ages because as hard you try, you will forget. You'll forget how they looked and their cute little expressions and how absolutely tiny they once were. It makes me sad to think about that, but I know if I'm taking pictures (and video) of my little ones, I get to treasure them at that age forever.

So this is my dear friend Mary and her sweet little 3 month old baby Camden. He was so fun and easy to photograph. You can almost smell the baby powder when you look at these shots... at least I can.

Double the fun, that's for sure. These sweet little boys belong to one of my dear friends. And man did they put her through the ringer! They came early at only 29 weeks, so when we shot this they were actually 3 months old, but they still look like brand newborn babies. Aren't they just darling?!
Just like they had their own ideas of when they were arriving here on earth, they also had their own ideas of what they were going to do during this shoot. Sweet little Caleb decided he was going to be wide awake, while his brother Joshua decided he was going to be dead asleep. It made for some interesting shots. I still think we got some super cute ones.

And I have something I need to tell those little ones... Boys, please start sleeping at night, your parents need their rest, thank you.

These guys are smart too, they've figured out that you get a lot better images and wider variety of shots if you hire a freelance photographer to take your Prom photo's as opposed to the expensive studio shots that they offer at the dance. So smart! I wish I'd have figured that one out when I was a senior!

This is Dan and Mindi and they are so cute! I couldn't make the actual wedding, because I was out of town, so instead we did a little pre-wedding session. I highly recommend doing this. It is so nice to be able to relax and just focus on the bride and groom and not feel the time crunch or the stress that comes along with the wedding day. Plus you avoid all of those wonderful wedding guests that love to interrupt your photo shoot to say hello or congrats.

We had such a blast. These guys are total goof balls. They are gonna have such a fun life together. Keep it up guys, and Congrats!

These girls were so fun and creative. They loved the camera! I guess I'm used to babies and families that are ready to be done taking pictures by the end of the shoot. This is Macey and she just turned one, so we celebrated by chasing her around my house and neighborhood while she walked around nonstop! That's pretty much all she wanted to do, somehow we were able to sneak in a couple sitting shots (thanks to cheesy goldfish) What a cutie pie! We had loads of fun dressing her up. I think the throw back shots turned out pretty good. Hope you guys like them.

This is the McInally family, and I think they have some amazing luck. Before we started our shoot that day it was a sunny, warm day, but about an hour before shooting clouds filled the sky and a beautiful breeze began to blow and I swear it felt like it was in the 70's outside. This is the newest little angel to join the Smith Family, Kannon Jace is his name. What a good baby!. Shawna says that he never cries, I think they lucked out with this one. Congrats you guys, he's beautiful!

This is the Warford family. I love these guys, they are sooo sweet. I did their wedding around 5 years ago, and now they have this adorable little addition named Taylor. She was so good during the whole shoot, she never made a peep. It may not look like it, but it was very cold and windy that day, but these guys were troopers. By the way, I loved the outfits they chose... Cardinals Rule!!!

This is the Rogers family. We go to church with them, in fact I used to be their son Gabe's Sunday school teacher. Don't worry Jody, he was always very well behaved. This family was full of smiles. You guys can call me anytime, this shoot was a piece of cake!

Sorry, it's been a while, but I always take December off. So here we go...getting back to business. This is one of our dearest friends, Clayton's best friend from childhood, The Josh Simonton family. I've taken their pictures alot over the years and I have to say this was the easiest for me. I think it's because those cute boys are growing up! We are also so glad that they finally got their sweet little girl. You guys deserved it. Love ya!

This is the Rainwater family. April adopted these 3 beautiful children, who I might add, are extremely close in age. I think this woman deserves an award for keeping up these cuties on an everyday basis, or at least a massage! They did an amazing job posing and smiling for our photo session. What sweethearts!

I've discovered that editing photo's is not easy when you have a newborn. Anyhow, I took these fun shots a week ago and I'm just finally getting them posted. These are our good friends Mike and Mandy and their cute family. I was so impressed with them and how they braved the heat (and humidity) just to get a good family photograph. Yes, it's been a while, and here's why! I want to introduce you to our sweet little Liberty Kay Lee. I took a little time off to enjoy this sweet little angel. We've been having so much fun, and yet I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully I'll have lots more photos to come!

I just shot this one today. These photos are of my aunt Debbie and her sweet little granddaughters. These cute girls are from out of town, so it was a treat to get to hang out with them today, we don't get to see them that often. I was able to shoot these photo's inside, which I never do, all thanks to my cousin Katie. She let me play around with her studio lights. Thanks again Kate!
